YOUTH AT CARRSVIEW

At Carrsview, we are always actively investing in youth, as they are the future of our industry. We are fortunate to have an outstanding youth team at Carrsview Murray Greys, whose dedication contributed to our success in Sydney in 2021.

We were proud to have five girls participate in the SA Junior Heifer Expo. In the lead-up to the event, the girls worked tirelessly preparing their heifers, and it was a pleasure to welcome back the two Wodonga girls once again. The experience was incredibly valuable, with all participants learning a great deal and returning home with ribbons and plenty of smiles.

Sydney Royal Show 2021 was an exciting and eye-opening experience. We took a team of cattle, along with two of our youth members, while Mitch and Nik flew in to assist on the main show day. Winning Reserve Champion Heifer with Carrsview Kelly Q42 was a fantastic achievement. Ash and Bek performed exceptionally well, proving their capabilities within the industry, and this success would not have been possible without the collective effort of the entire team. We were also pleased to support a young handler, Jacob from Sydney, who showed one of our animals in the handlers’ competition and placed third.
